THE region Mullsjö has approx. 7 100 inhabitants, located
on a spur of the central southern highlands of West Sweden
(Västgötaland) in the County of Jönköping. The development
of Mullsjö started when the railroad came to Mullsjö 1862.
Mullsjö soon developed as a tourist centre and tourism still
plays an important part of the identity of our community.

The easy access to nature is as important as ever, but the
spirit of entrepreneurship, enterprise and business
establishment has become increasingly significant.
Mullsjö has excellent communications, retail outlets and
excellent social services, as well as offering a wide range
of cultural, sporting and leisure activities. Mullsjö has a
vide range of active associations, societies and clubs,
several riding schools, alpine skiing centre, cross-country
skiing, first class golf centre, modern swimming hall,
illuminated jogging tracks in the forest.

Several nurseries, primary, upper secondary and adult
education schools are also to be found here. There is also
a modern and well equipped local primary health care clinic
and dental care centre. The city of Jönköping with its
approx 120 000 inhabitants is only 20 minutes away by
car, bus or train offering even more job, cultural, sports
and shopping opportunities.
